What is Bruin Health Week?

Bruin Health Week (BHW) is an annual week of special events during the Spring quarter that is hosted by the Student Wellness Commission (SWC), it’s committees, and associated student health organizations to promote student health on campus. Specifically, the aim is to educate students about how to live a healthier lifestyle and how to use campus resources effectively.

2025 BHW Timeline

2025 Bruin Health Week happened during Week 3 of Spring quarter, starting April 15th and ending on April 21rd. If you submited a selfie of yourself at every event you attend during Bruin Health Week, you would get entered into a raffle with a chance to win an UCLA x Lululemon belt bag, Owala water bottle, mini projector, Instax polaroid camera, portable charger, and UCLA bucket hat! Reproductive Health and Wellness Tabling

Who: Planned Parenthood, Sexperts, Bruin Consent Coalition

What: Catch Sexperts, Planned Parenthood, and Bruin Consent Coalition on Bruinwalk for some amazing sexual and reproductive health goodies and information!

SAAM ribbons with information cards, campus and off-campus resources, trivia on info w prizes

Tuesday, April 16th

4:00 - 6:00 PM

Preventative Health Activities and Fair

Who: EARTH, HNF, CPR, SEARCH

What: Join SEARCH and EARTH at Kerckhoff Patio for a spin the wheel trivia of proper sustainability practices, with correct answers winning sustainable prizes like bamboo toothbrushes, sustainable sponges, bamboo brushes, recyclable pens/notebooks, bamboo glass bottles, and eco-friendly reusable tote bags!

Find CPR at their table at Kerckhoff Patio for a one-on-one, quick crash course on how to do chest compressions, apply a tourniquet, stabilize a broken arm, use an epi-pen, and more!

Meet HNF at Kerckhoff Patio to participate in a fitness challenge and win a prize!!!

Who: Body Image Task Force, Total Wellness, BruiNecessities

Fuel Your Mind

Who: SWC Internship, Active Minds, Student Health Network

What: Find Active Minds in the Peer Support Lounge in Kerckhoff 308 for a day of mindfulness with journaling, stress-balls, information about campus mental health resources, and treats!

Join the SHN at Bruinwalk to participate in fun activities from our variety of student-led health orgs!

Visit Internship’s Fruit Bowl stand for free fruit bowls and a chance to enter a giveaway for prizes!!

DEI in Health Conference

What: Join us for a conference designed to equip you w/ skills to advocate for equity in mental health! Attend workshops with a focus on policy/advocacy, financial literacy, healthcare, + business leadership, panel of UCLA mental health orgs, a unique guest speaker, and more fun activities and free goodies!!

Bruin Run/Walk Annual 5K

Who: Bruin Run/Walk

What: 24th annual 5K bringing together students, UCLA faculty, and members of the greater LA community to fundraise for The Painted Turtle. The Painted Turtle is an organization dedicated to providing families with children who suffer from chronic illnesses a worthwhile camp experience.
